NBC in Tampa recently aired a segment about how the City of Tampa is encouraging residents to recycle all of their food and beverage cartons.

Our Channels Convenience Store Marketing and Sales teams attended the NACS (National Association of Convenience Stores) Show in Atlanta in October. The NACS Show brings together convenience and fuel retailing industry professionals from across the world and is the number one buying show in the U. S., according to Exhibit Surveys, Inc.  WhiteWave exhibited a wide range of International Delight products at the show and introduced the new ID bulk Iced Coffee machines that are made for bulk dispensing.

More than 26,000 people and 1,200 exhibitors attended this year’s four-day show that was held at the Atlanta World Congress Center.

International Delight bulk Iced Coffee was named the Top Retailer pick in the Cool New Products category and the WhiteWave booth was awarded the Top Exhibit in the bronze Hunter’s Club division.

Share What We Do Well

October is designated Share What We Do Well Month at WhiteWave Foods. Throughout the month our employees at all of our locations will spend time volunteering in their communities  with organizations like the Food Bank of the Rockies, Community Food Share and Boulder Mudslingers, a community-organized flood relief organization.

Volunteering and giving back has always been a huge part of our culture at WhiteWave and this is the fourth year that we have organized a company-wide volunteer initiative. We will be posting news and photos from our various excursions throughout the month, so keep checking back to see what we’ve been up to.

Last week, WhiteWave partnered with Operation Warm to give brand new winter coats to 550 underprivileged children from Rose Hill Elementary in Commerce City, Colo., one of the most disadvantaged schools in the Denver area. For many kids, this was their first brand new coat they’ve ever been able to wear. During the 2012 holiday season, WhiteWave Foods raised more than $37,000 for Operation Warm through the International Delight Share Your Delight cause-marketing campaign. This donation equated to more than 2,000 new winter coats in total, 550 of which were given out at the Rose Hill Elementary event on Oct. 10, 2013.

You can donate to the cause this year by registering UPC codes from specially marked WhiteWave products at shareyourdelight.com now through December 31. 2013. Each UPC code registered triggers a $0.50 donation to Operation Warm.

Believe in Heroes

WhiteWave Foods has joined forces with Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors, to support injured service members through the Wounded Warrior Project Believe in Heroes campaign. From September 11, 2013 through Veterans Day November 11, 2013, Believe in Heroes calls on Americans to show their support and appreciation for our service members and the newest generation of veterans in a simple everyday way — grocery shopping.

As part of WhiteWave’s participation, our Silk®, TruMoo® and International Delight® brands will offer consumers a high-value coupon ($1.00 off any one Silk half gallon, $.50 off any one TruMoo 6-pack or six single serves, $.55 off any one ID Coffee Creamer,) that will be available in a special, free-standing insert which will be circulated to 53 million households nationwide in newspapers on Sunday, November 3, 2013.
