It’s probably safe to say that most people enjoy cake. Also safe to say most people enjoy food that comes on a stick. So of course when you put the two together, something amazing happens, and it’s called the cake pop.
We’d argue that the cake pop is probably one of the best things ever, especially when we can use some of our own delicious products to help concoct this magic creation. And as our friend Stephanie over at 52 Kitchen Adventures points out, it’s not that hard to do.
Turn on your TV and don’t fast forward through the commercials because today International Delight launched a brand new ad campaign – “What’s Your I.D?” It’s a light-hearted take on personalizing your cup of coffee with International Delight.
The campaign features a recurring character, Donna, who’s the brand’s #1 fan and wants to enlighten others about what they’re missing by drinking ordinary black coffee. Because she loves her International Delight so much, she’s given it a nickname – I.D. So anytime she finds herself in situations where she’s asked for identification (ID), she thinks they’re asking for International Delight, which provides her with an opportunity to share what she loves about the brand and give them some of hers to try.
Last year we updated you on the first phase of our effort to change the way our International Delight and Land O’ Lakes brands portion control (PC) cups are made, meaning a smaller carbon footprint and less waste.
We’re happy to announce that our Research & Development team recently completed the final stage of this project – reclaiming and reusing post-industrial scrap from the manufacturing process and using it to make additional portion control cups. This reuse of scrap material further lightens our PC’s environmental footprint.
Completing this redesign is just one part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable packaging and is in keeping with our mission to become the Earth’s Favorite Food Company. We’re always brainstorming other ways we can make our packaging more sustainable and hope to bring more updates to life in the future.
